And the "BG stock incident" involves not only former Foreign Minister Morohashi (Kenichi Yajima), but also Prime Minister Hanyu (Akira Otaka).

As these shocking revelations come to light, Michiue(Asami Mizukawa) receives an unexpected offer from Seike "to be his brain" and she accepts, believing that by being by his side as his brain, she will be able to find out what Hanussen is up to.

City Hunter Film Racks up 450 Million Yen in First Four Days

  Looks like Ryo Saeba still has what it takes!

  Film journalist Hiroo Otaka tweeted today that City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes has pulled in 451.6 million yen domestically in its first four days in theaters. This puts it behind Aquaman, which came in at just under 547 million in its first four days in Japanese cinemas.

  Shinjuku Private Eyes sees the return of much of the original anime's talent, including Kenji Kodama in the director's chair and Akira Kamiya and Kazue Ikura back in the roles of Ryo and Kaori. It also includes appearances from the leading ladies of adjacent series Cat's Eye, with Chika Sakamoto and Keiko Toda back again voicing Ai and Hitomi. (Toda pulls double duty as Rui, previously voiced by the late Toshiko Fujita.)

    Hype for the movie is still going strong. Visitors to Shinjuku Station can see an XYZ board set up by the east exit, and name-drop "XYZ" at local restaurants for movie-themed prizes.

Main Cast Revealed for "Teiichi no Kuni" Live-Action Film

The main cast has been revealed for Teiichi no Kuni ("Teiichi's Country"), an upcoming live-action film adaptation based on the manga by Usamaru Furuya (Lychee Light Club).

    The cast of Teiichi no Kuni includes:

  Masaki Suda as Teiichi Akaba.

Ryo Kimura as Keigo Douyama.

Shotaro Mamiya as Rorando Himura.

Ryoma Takeuchi as Dan Otaka.

Jun Shison as Komei Sakakibara.

    The story of Teiichi no Kuni involves Teiichi Akaba, an ambitious high school student who aims to be prime minister of Japan when he grows up. To further this goal, Teiichi runs for student council president, but his high school is filled with the children of political elites, and a vicious power struggle immediately ensues. What lengths will Teiichi go to in order to achieve his dream?

    The original Teiichi no Kuni manga was serialized from June 2010 - May 2016 in Shueisha's Jump Square shōnen manga magazine. The Teiichi no Kuni live-action film is directed by Akira Nagai. It hits theaters in Japan on April 29, 2017.
